Dixie and Mark went hunting together for the first time this weekend. These are pictures of her in the duck blind. Dixie was a little confused about why she was waking up at 3:45am when usually, she is sleeping by the bed with me at this time while Mark is getting dressed in his hunting gear. Mark put her in her hunting vest (she looked adorable!) and they were off. Bandera wasn't thrilled at the idea that Dixie was getting to go somewhere that she wasn't but she quickly got over it after Mark left. She snuggled back up with me under the covers and we both went back to sleep.
Mark reports that Dixie did quite well for her first hunt with him. He said she got frustrated and huffed and puffed when his hunting buddy, Luke, missed a shot. But, she most enjoyed the Babe's chicken and biscuit Luke fed her after finishing the hunt. Safe to say, she agrees with the rest of Texas, Babe's chicken is the best!
