Each night either before or after dinner, Mark and I take Dixie to the pond in our neighborhood for a walk and a swim. She loves it! Dixie is obsessed with the water. She begins whimpering as soon as we get to the path around the pond and immediately jumps in as soon as her leash is removed. On this particular night, Mark threw her bumper a little bit further and Dixie did a great job...until she got tired and decided the final throw was a bit too far. After a few failed attempts at getting her to retrieve the bumper, Mark had to go in the pond and retrieve the bumper himself. Dixie thought that was pretty neat and decided to follow him in. It was quite the sight from dry land!!! I joked with Mark that the neighbors were probably saying, "who is that crazy lady who takes her dog and husband swimming in the pond?!?!" Needless to say, Dixie and mark both got a shower that night!
